PK’s Development In Konidela Village, That’s Why He Is Special

Development work is underway in Konidela village of Nandikotkur mandal of Nandyal district on the initiative of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Pawan Kalyan’s family name and the name of the village are the same.

During the 2019 elections, while he was on a tour of Kurnool district, some Konidela villagers requested him to adopt their village. He responded positively to that.

Last year, he went on a tour of Nandikotkur constituency and donated Rs. 50 lakh for the development of Konidela. As per the instructions of the district administration, an overhead water tank with a capacity of 90,000 liters was constructed with those funds.

In Konidela village, three internal roads were constructed at a cost of over Rs. 20 lakhs under ‘Palle Pandaga 1.0’. Seven CC roads works are in Progress at a cost of Rs. 45 lakhs under ‘Palle Pandaga 2.0’ is in progress.

With the sub-plan funds, the local Zilla Parishad has sanctioned 4 crore for the construction of a 5 km BT road from the school to Lakshmapuram in Pagidya mandal. The Deputy Chief Minister has sanctioned 45 lakhs for the renovation of the road from R&B road to the village.

As per the request of the villagers, 4 Gokulas, 19 houses and water tank were constructed with the help of the Housing Department. 49 feeder channels were developed for farmers under the National Employment Guarantee Scheme. Two small canals were renovated and 3 community check dams were repaired.

People are lauding Pawan Kalyan for staying committed to a village in far off constituency.

Nandikotkur is an SC-reserved constituency where Janasena is too weak. In 2019 elections, Janasena candidate got just 3300+ Votes and lost deposit. In the 2024 elections, TDP contested in this seat.

So, there is no political motive or interest in this kindness. Probably, that’s what makes Pawan Kalyan special among regular politicians.
