Andhra Pradesh Assembly witnessed pretty significant discussions with regard to the ongoing Tirumala laddu issue and here’s a look at the factual and numerical reports presented by the government.
Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan categorically confirmed that over 20 crore laddus that were prepared between 2019-24 were contaminated by adulterated ghee. He stated that the SIT investigation established that the adulteration was carried out in a planned and systematic manner.
Kalyan suspected a structured system in defaming Tirumala Balaji and adulterating the holy Tirumala laddu. He blamed the previous YCP administration for the same and was ruthless with his reaction on the matter.
CM Chandrababu then took the mic and revealed a series of numbers associated with this contamination. He stated that a total of 59.71 lakh kgs of ghee was contaminated in the 5 year period till 2024.
The CM pointed out that a few groups formed a syndicate and carried out the operation through which Rs 234 crore funds belonging to the TTD were diverted in the name of ghee procurement. He stated that Tirumala Balaji’s sacred money was blatantly looted by antisocial forces at the holy Tirumala shrine.
With the CM and Deputy CM cracking down on the laddu contamination process with full force at the assembly, there’s a lot of insightful information that has been passed. Any again, as usual, YCP MLAs decided to skip the assembly session and their side of the story is nowhere to be seen.
