Most Followed Politicians: Modi 100M, Where’s Trump?

These days, it is becoming increasingly prominent for politicians to maintain an active presence on social media. Well, it appears that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is mastering this craft as he has emerged as the most followed politician in the world. 

Incidentally, Narendra Modi has successfully completed the astonishing feat of gaining 100 million followers on Instagram. He is the first global politician to gain hundred million followers on Instagram and has set a unique record.

Modi achieved this feat today and it needs to be said that no other politician globally could be coming close to this in the near future. 

To put that into perspective, we have the case of United States president Donald Trump, who has a crazy social media presence, and he has 43.2 million followers on Instagram. His Instagram presence is less than half of that of Indian Prime Minister.

On the other hand, we have Indian opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, who has around 12.3 million followers.

Coming to the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, we have a Pawan Kalyan, who is leading the race with 4 million followers. YS Jagan has 1.6 million followers while Chandrababu has 1.1 million. Telangana KTR has 2.2 million followers, while revanth Reddy has 1.2 million.
