Big Day: India’s T20 Future To Be Decided Today!

Today, February 26, happens to be one of the most important days in the ongoing T20 World Cup as this would essentially dictate the future of Indian cricket team.

First, we have the game between West Indies and South Africa, which is happening at 3 PM. India will be desperately hoping that West Indies lose to South Africa in this game so that the table equation is mildly balanced.  

If South Africa beat West Indies, then a simple victory for India against West Indies in the next fixture would be sufficient for India to progress to the semi-final. But if West Indies ended up beating South Africa, things can get a lot more complex and India could be considered virtually out of the tournament. 

At the same time, there is this upcoming fixture later in the day today as India will be facing Zimbabwe. As expected, India will have to win this game by a comprehensive margin, just to stay alive in the tournament.

As India will not just be hoping to beat Zimbabwe later in the day, but they will also be hoping that West Indies lose to South Africa comprehensively. 

So this is ultimately going to be a big day that would decide whether India will progress to the next stages of the T20 World Cup or whether they would be virtually out of the tournament by the end of the day.
