The political buzz around actor-turned-politician Vijay has intensified after BJP leaders openly suggested that he should join the AIADMK-BJP alliance if he is serious about defeating the DMK in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The remark has triggered speculation about whether Vijay might reconsider his current stand of contesting the polls independently.
Vijay had earlier declared that his party, TVK, would contest the 2026 elections on its own and ruled out alliances with major parties. He even described the BJP as an ideological opponent and insisted that TVK would not partner with either the BJP or the DMK.
