Former chief minister YS Jagan is back in Andhra Pradesh and he had a customary meeting with his party leaders today. He was characteristically enthusiastic while addressing the cadres and even had a few exuberant comments to make.
Speaking about the ongoing crisis due to the Iran war, Jagan said Chandrababu is promising to deliver kerosene to the public, but this is of no use to anyone. “Chandra Babu is saying he will give kerosene to everyone. What will we do with kerosene while all of us has reached to gas stoves?”
This was followed by another attempt from Jagan to claim the credit for the recent Mittal investment in Andhra Pradesh.
While all the focus and attention was on Lokesh for following up with the metal industries and bringing Mittal steel plan to Andhra, Jagan said it was his government, which had given lands to this project in principal. There was this strong attempt from Jagan himself to claim credit for the Mittal steel plant.
The former CM again rolled back the days to his time as the CM as he said “ The only thing I was focused on during the previous government was pressing the button and giving benefits directly to public. But next time, there will be a lot more emphasis on working cadres.”
Jagan closed out his statement by expectedly speaking about the upcoming. “I will be back on the roads in another year and half. Padayatra start ayyaka prathi roju Chandrababu ki Chukkalu choopiddaam” he said.
On one hand, there are concerns about the trust fact that Jagan has in the public, considering the previous failed government and now, he has started to threaten the consolidated Chandrababu government.
At the fundamental level, Jagan must first win the trust of the public, let alone threatening TDP, a neutral analyst commented candidly today.
