Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan held a meeting with the Party MPs, MLAs, and MLCs, the other day, in Vijayawada and reviewed the party policies and activities.
In this meeting, Pawan Kalyan expressed anger on some unruly MLAs.
He expressed dissatisfaction over the prevalence of corruption allegations against certain public representatives, noting that despite repeated warnings, there has been no change in their conduct.
He sternly questioned why they were allowing the situation to escalate to a point where Chief Minister Chandrababu himself had to intervene and issue warnings regarding these allegations.
“Some MLAs are using industrial accidents as a pretext to engage in Blackmail. We are receiving complaints from industries alleging that public representatives are resorting to extortion. We are working tirelessly to attract industries to the state. We placed our trust in you and allotted you election tickets. If you continue to act in this manner, you will be undermining the reputation and dignity of the party,” he asserted.
Who are these MLAs blackmailing the industries?
On one side, Pawan Kalyan is working hard to better the image of the party in the people and then, these people are bringing bad name.
He also expressed dissatisfaction about some leaders not taking the party’s membership enrollment drive seriously.
“Why are you unable to accomplish this task? If we are to demand a larger share of election tickets in the future, our membership base must expand significantly. The membership enrollment process must be accelerated,” he told them.
