The other day, Chandrababu Naidu Government handed over 2.5 Lakh Houses to the Beneficiaries. With this, the total houses the Government gave away to the Beneficiaries went up to 5.5 Lakh.
The Government plans to give another 4.5 Lakh Houses to the Poor by this December. Chandrababu Naidu Government had set a target of giving houses to all the eligible poor by 2029.
The Houses given resemble proper gated communities. There are even Walking Tracks and Play Areas for Kids in these Communities. The rooms are also spacious and the interiors are also good.
Usually, the houses given to the Beneficiaries resemble matchboxes and they feel it shameful to live in such colonies.
But these houses increase the dignity of the beneficiaries and their families. The head of the families can show these houses as assets when they are marrying their children.
In the previous Government, there were attempts to build houses in uninhabitable areas.
The MLAs and other Public Representatives of YSR Congress Party bought lands in such areas at dirt-cheap prices and Government acquired them at high prices for Housing Projects. Beneficiaries did not even go to the houses even if allotted.
But Chandrababu Naidu Government is doing that differently and this will help the Government big time.
