Is This CSK’s Worst Fate Without Dhoni?

Over the years, CSK might not have had the most flashy or exuberant players in world cricket but they could find the perfect balance between experienced seniors and youthful talents. Most importantly, they had the greatest captain of this generation, MS Dhoni at the helm. 

But the absence of Dhoni early this season due to his rehabilitation from injury, CSK appears to be finding things really hard. This was on scintillating display last night as CSK played their first game of the tournament.

CSK absolutely struggled with the bat in the first innings and manage to score just 127 runs. However, Rajasthan Royals made small work out of this branches as they chased down the target within 13 overs. 

This is one of the biggest defeats for CSK in IPL history and is the second biggest defeat in terms of remaining balls after the earlier defeat against KKR last year.

Even experienced players like Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson could not save the day for CSK as the yellow team got absolutely blasted away by Rajasthan Royals. Even youngsters in Rajasthan, like Yashashwi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi were fluent with the bat while CSK batters struggled big time. 

People are already commenting that this could very well be the fate for CSK without MS Dhoni, who had been sitting things right for different franchise for many years.

But at the same time, it is also too early to comment on the prospect of CSK as the team is just early in the tournament, and there is a long way to go. Fans will be desperately, hoping that things will get back on track for them in the near future itself.
