After 7 Years of Slumber, YCP Suddenly Remembers Special Status?

After Lok Sabha yesterday, Rajya Sabha today discussed and passed the amendment to AP Reorganization Act to include Amaravati as the Capital.

Just at the time of voting, YSR Congress walked out saying that Special Status is not included.  This is the first time the Party spoke about the Special Status in about seven years.

Jagan went to the 2019 elections and won claiming that he will muzzle the BJP and get the Special Status. Immediately after the elections, he claimed that he has no strength to pressure the BJP because of the numbers.

During those five years, BJP needed the Support of YSR Congress MPs especially in Rajya Sabha for the passage of Several Bills in those five years but Jagan never bothered to put Special Status as a condition.

Jagan did not even mention the word ‘Special Status’ all those five years, even during the 2024 elections, or any time in the last two years.

All of sudden, they brought the issue of the Special Status to avoid voting for Amaravati. But then, people can easily see through the intention.

YSR Congress clearly distanced itself from Amaravati even after the people clearly voted against their three capitals issue in the 2024 elections. Jagan Mohan Reddy even brought up a strange concept called MA-VI-GUN to checkmate Amaravati.
