Telangana recorded its highest-ever liquor revenue of ₹40,209 crore in FY2025-26, marking a 7% rise from the previous year. The record earnings came from steady liquor sales, licensing fees, and retail outlets across the state. Officials said liquor consumption saw a slight rise, helping the excise department post its biggest revenue since the state’s formation.
