Amaravati @ Parliament: YCP Opposed, BRS Supported!

The prestigious Amaravati recognition resolution was passed in the Rajya Sabha today after the earlier approval in the Lok sabha. Amaravati resolution had a lot of political significance as several leading parties across the country, came forward to support the same.

Interestingly, enough, the Congress party and BJP, which are arch rivals came together for the approval of the Amaravati resolution in the upper house today. BJP is anyway expected to approve the same, considering the NDA, but Congress also coming forward is a good sign.

On the other hand, we have the opposition party of Telangana BRS, that is firmly against TDP and Chandrababu, which surprisingly supported the Amaravati resolution.

But on the other hand, we have the opposition party of Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress which blatantly opposed the bill and even walked out of the Rajya Sabha today. The Jagan party is completely against this resolution from opening day, and they continued on the stand, even on the crucial day today.

It is interesting to note that some of the biggest political parties in India, including the fundamental opposed BRS have identified the necessity for Andhra Pradesh to have a strong capital Amaravati. But Andhra Pradesh’s very own YCP has firmly opposed and even worked out of the house in protest.
