What Now? YCP Leaders Promoting Jagan’s ‘MAVIGUN’

Former AP Chief Minister YS Jagan has this habit of creating extreme sensational news while addressing the media on a weekly basis. He was back on the job again yesterday as he proposed this MAVIGUN capital region as an alternative to the established and desired Amaravati. 

The point to be noted here is that Jagan immediately became the central point of several trolls and negative reactions on social media after floating the MAVIGUN idea. There is a lot of confusion and apprehension about the core idea of this capital proposal between Machilipatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur.

However, YSR Congress leaders are left with no other option but to stick with this and try the best to defend the mockery created by their party chief. Subsequently, Kasu Mahesh Reddy and Ambati Rambabu were called to action by the YCP leadership to defend the MAVIGUN plan of Jagan. 

Ambati Rambabu said Andhra Pradesh does not have the resources or the energies to spend Rs 2 lakh crore on Amaravati and hence, MAVIGUN is the only feasible capital for the state. 

Mahesh Reddy sat in front of the media and he too went on about MAVIGUN. “every remote corner of Andhra Pradesh should discuss about the capital proposal made by Jagan. We can spend 10,000 or 20,000 crore to develop MAVIGUN as the capital of the state.” 

After this situation that was created by Jagan, which has led to several trolls and memes, there’s nothing much YCP leaders can do apart from defending it to the best of their abilities.

But this might also ultimately fall short as the public mandate is the key here and winning this is virtually impossible for the YCP leadership with their existing plan of action.
