Good Comeback: Orange Army Return In Style!

Sunrisers Hyderabad was always expected to be one of the most aggressive and dynamic teams in the IPL, but they had a poor start to the 2026 season with the defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. 

However, it did not take long for Sunrisers to come back in the tournament as they have bounced back in style with their second game, which happened to be against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Hyderabad was absolutely brilliant with the bat in the first innings as they scored 226 runs, which was a pretty significant target at the Eden Gardens. In response to this, KKR was very underwhelming with the bat and ended up getting all out for 160 runs.

Subsequently SRH, who had sustained a significant defeat in the first game against RCB which caused a dent to the run rate have come back with full confidence. This significant victory by margin of 65 runs is going to considerably boost the net run rate of SRH and this is pretty much the need of the hour now.

This is the kind of positive performance that was expected from SRH in the first place, and it is finally good to see them delivered to the best of their capabilities starting from the second game. 

This can be regarded as a strong comeback for SRH in the ongoing season, but the big challenge is going to be to maintain this positive momentum and register significant victories in the upcoming games. Needless to say, the team will be further strengthen with the return of captain Pat Cummins and things will certainly get far better then.
