Not Jagan, CBN Himself Is the Real Challenge

YSR Congress appears to be done and dusted as far as the Capital issue is concerned. After the 2024 defeat, Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to be confused himself. The people of Vishakapatnam and Uttarandhra defeated him thoroughly and at the same time, he can not go back to Amaravati. His ego will not allow that.

He should have struck to Vishakapatnam. But this idea of MA-VI-Gun bombed big time. Forget about the idea behind, the name itself appeared comical and invited trolls immediately.

Even the people belonging to those regions are not ready to trust Jagan. As far as the Capital issue is concerned, YSR Congress seems done.

Jagan is not the real threat to Chandrababu Naidu on the issue. In fact, Chandrababu Naidu is the real challenge for Chandrababu Naidu now. He will be scrutinized closely for the next three years.

There will be no excuses whatsoever in 2029 if Naidu did not show any significant progress in Amaravati. The expectations are really huge because people expect Amaravati to be on par with Hyderabad.

Chandrababu’s earlier promises and his track-record in Hyderabad will set the target for Amaravati.

That will be a herculean task. Chandrababu Naidu should at least show reasonable progress and ask people for another five years term for continued development.

For the first two years of this term, the Government for some reason diverted most of the investments to Vishakapatnam. The focus should be more on Amaravati at least for the next three years. Only then, we will see some development on ground.
