YS Jagan Mohan Reddy repeatedly claimed how Amaravati construction is full of corruption.
In numerous Pressmeets, he alleged that Amaravati construction is costing a whopping 12000 Rupees per Square Feet which is several times higher than the construction of Telangana Secretariat and even the new Indian Parliament building.
Telugu Desam Party released the data about the same refuting the claim.
According to that, Amaravati construction will cost 6,985 Rupees Per Square Feet which is slightly higher than that of Telangana Secretariat (6500 Per Square Feet).
Probably, the escalation is due to time. It is been three years since Telangana Secretariat was inaugurated.
The construction cost of the new building of Indian Parliament is 17,291 Rupees Per Square Feet. That is because things are much costlier in the National Capital.
The biggest surprise of all is the construction cost of Rushikonda Palace. It reportedly cost a whopping 35,714 Rupees Per Square Feet which is higher than what it costed for Amaravati, Delhi, or Hyderabad.
In fact, the number is triple of what Jagan claimed as very high (12,000 Rupees in Amaravati).
The Government already showcased to the World the luxury Palace Jagan constructed for himself to shift after moving the Capital to Vishakapatnam.
YSR Congress, then took a flipflop saying that it is not a Palace but a Government building constructed to use whenever VIPs like Prime Minister of India, President of India, and other heads of the state visits the Port City.
But then, People did not believe that.
If the Telugu Desam Party can take this into the people effectively, YSR Congress will struggle to save its face.
