While YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and rest of the YSR Congress leaders are parroting about MA-VI-GUN, Amaravati is making big strides towards Development.
We already know that the tenders were called for works worth 80,000 Crores and the works are picking pace already.
And now, the Central Government has approved the construction of Common Central Secretariat with an outlay of 2,534 Crore Rupees.
What is this Common Central Secretariat?
The Common Central Secretariat is a new project in Andhra Pradesh where all central government departments (such as Income Tax, GST, Railways, Postal, etc.) will be brought together under one single campus.
Currently, these central offices are scattered across different buildings and rented spaces in the state. The new facility aims to house them all in one integrated complex — similar to the Central Secretariat in Delhi, but specifically for Andhra Pradesh.
This is aimed at improving efficiency, reducing costs, supporting Amaravati’s development, and providing better service to the public.
All departments in one place will improve coordination between them. File movements and decision-making will become faster and easier. Also, Many offices are currently paying high rents. In the long run, this will significantly reduce rental expenses.
We have seen the YSR Congress leaders saying if Amaravati can get legal backing with a bill in Parliament, they can change the capital with another bill in the Same Parliament if their Government comes.
If the Central Government is making a big investment in Amaravati, it will have to explain why it wants to change the Capital at a later date. No party in power in Delhi would change a decision taken in Parliament without a valid reason.
