Back in the day, Indian politics used to be very respectful and it was fairly common to see ruling party men and opposition leaders indulge in conversations outside the political lines. What over the recent couple of decades, things have been taking drastic terms as a warring atmosphere is seen inside and also outside the political sphere.
This applies to the case of Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi as well. The two of them had not shared a friendly conversation in the recent times and whatever interactions they had was mostly contradicting and conflictive in nature.
But for a change, the Prime Minister and the opposition leader set aside their political inhibitions and came together at the parliament today. The two of them were seen interacting with each other outside the Parliament during the ongoing Jyotiba Phule 200th Jayanthi celebrations.
Modi and Rahul, who usually share a very anguished relationship in front of the cameras had a calm and serene interaction outside the parliament building today.
The contents of the conversation are obviously going to be classified, but this is ultimately a good visual to see the ruling leader and opposition leader set aside political rivalry for a while and interact publicly. There could have been a reasonable amount of knowledge sharing as well.
