Botsa Fell In The Trap Of Government?

Botsa Satyanarayana may have unknowingly walked into the trap of the Ruling Party.

The Ruling Side has absolute majority in the Assembly. It has 164 seats out of the total 175 seats and YSR Congress boycotted the Assembly in the name of no Leader of Opposition Status to Jagan Mohan Reddy. There is no problem there.

But YSR Congress has majority in the Council and the party is taking the house for ransom with that majority.

Botsa Satyanarayana was made the Leader of Opposition to lead the pack there. The Government wants to stop YSR Congress there and Botsa played into the hands.

Minister Atchannaidu stirred the Hornet’s Nest by linking Jagan Mohan Reddy to YSR‘s death and invoking Botsa Satyanarayana to it. Botsa Satyanarayana who is currently the Leader of Opposition in the Council was startled by it and called for a Pressmeet.

He came up with an explanation trying to give cleanchit to Jagan. He even broke down and cried in front of the cameras while speaking about Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy.

But he may have least thought the crying will backfire. Social Media and Media started digging the old videos where in Botsa really made such allegations about Jagan Mohan Reddy.

In politics, leaders changing the parties has become common. It is quite common they abuse a leader when they are on the other side and the same people praise the leader when they shift parties.

But Jagan Mohan Reddy is someone very different. He expects certain discipline in the party and so, even the senior leaders in the party have to follow certain decorum.

It is not that Jagan is not aware of these videos earlier. But they became viral again bringing certain distrust on Botsa again.

With this, Jagan may cut Botsa’s size or Botsa will have a bit of discomfort. The Government may have achieved what it wants in the Council.

If Botsa did not respond to Atchannaidu, the media and social media would have ignored them. But Botsa’s reaction got it more traction and pushed him into a corner now, a political observer Remarked.
