Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu is known for his ability to foresee future technologies at a very quick pace and he is on the job again. He has now outlaid the plan for quantum and AI engineering in Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu is currently on a mission to develop Amaravati as the quantum hub for India, and he made a pretty big development to this effect today.
Chandrababu launched the quantum research Centre in Amaravati, which is going to be the hallmark quantum computing hub in the country.
This happens to be the first quantum hub in all of India, and there are pretty significant expectations laid on the same. This is going to be the first indigenous quantum testing and research facility in the country, which would allow the local talent to assess the trends and act correspondingly.
On one hand, the government is actively orchestrating a quantum facility in Amaravati in partnership with IBM and TCS. And on the other hand, we have this latest research facility that is going to enhance the domestic development and testing environment.
This would help to build a strong domestic market for quantum computing, which is going to be the future of global technology. This is also in alignment with the AI driven mechanism that has been taken up on priority by the Indian government.
