South Indian politics and the kind of theatrics that they possess can be a case study for the Indian electoral system, and we have one such story in development in Tamil Nadu now.
Recently, it was the case of visual art where a holographic image of Thalapathy Vijay was used in an election campaign in Kumbakokdam and AI generated audio was used to recreate his vocals. This instantly grabbed the attention of national media.
Now the same TVK party has grabbed the attention by bringing a fully functional Robo for their election campaign today.
The TVK candidate from the Coimbatore constituency was seen using a fully functional and walking robo in his campaign. The robo was given a TVK party shawl around its neck as it actively walked along with the candidate and his followers during the campaign.
The by-walking public are evidently amused by the usage of robo for election campaign and they had a puzzled and surprised look on their faces. It turns out to be that TVK is not leaving any kind of technology for their election campaign in Tamil Nadu as they’re going all out in this direction.
There is a famous saying in politics, which goes like “A politician can do anything to grab the attention of the public during the electoral roll” and it appears that TVK leaders are taking this a bit too literally at this point in time.
