Will Kavitha Give Another Masterstroke To KCR?

Telangana politics witnessed a crucial development today as Kalvakuntla Kavitha launched her own political party in the name of TRS, Telangana Rashtra Sena. This is the first big jolt that Kavitha gave to BRS chief KCR by grabbing the conventional TRS name.

There is a fine technicality here as Kavitha cleverly altered TRS’s original name Telangana Rashtra Samithi to Telangana Rashtra Sena to avoid complication with the EC.

But the interesting thing here is that Kavita has still not registered the name Telangana Rashtra Sena with the election commission yet. She has applied for the same with the EC and is likely to get approval sooner than later. 

This could shortly be followed by another technical exploration by Kavitha as she could very welcome after the election symbol of TRS. 

Despite having moved from TRS to BRS, the election symbol of car was retained by the KCR party. Now this could very well be the next target for Kavitha to aim at. 

If Kavita can somehow get an electoral symbol that closely resembles a car, then she would’ve principally grabbed the crucial traits of the conventional TRS branding including the name and the election symbol. This will help her reach the public easier as the name and symbol already resonate with them. 

For instance, we have symbols like road roller, bus, or others that could resemble the car symbol of BRS which could be explored by Kavitha. 

At the same time, Kavitha would be delivering a big stroke to the BRS by eating into their legacy imaging including the name and the symbol. This will be another big jolt to KCR from Kavitha if at all it happens in the first place.

But there is also a strong possibility that the public may quickly sense her strategy. If that happens, many loyal supporters of KCR could turn against Kavitha, which might derail her plans. Hence, she will have to move very carefully and make every decision with precision.
