Lokesh’s Politics At Google Event: Totally Unwarranted!

Today is a historic day for Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for the Google Cloud India AI Hub.

The 1-GW Data Center in Visakhapatnam is Google’s biggest AI Hub outside the United States.

The five-year project (2026–2030) is expected to create over 1 lakh jobs.

Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and Rammohan Naidu, Minister Nara Lokesh, and representatives from Google participated in this event.

Minister Nara Lokesh played an instrumental role in bringing this Mega Investment but then he made a controversial remark in his address at the event.

Speaking about how his Government is focused on decentralization of development, Nara Lokesh said, “మనది Google.. వాళ్లది గొడ్డలి”

We do not know if this came from Lokesh’s written speech or if he made an impromptu comment.

But it is completely unwarranted and unnecessary.

If it is the scriptwriter’s issue, the concerned person should be changed immediately. If they are his impromptu lines, this is a big change he should make.

Making such political comments from the dais of an Official Program attended by the representatives of a Global Company is completely wrong.

This also damages the goodwill he earned.

On the other side, YSR Congress has come under criticism for organizing protests against fuel shortage while such an event was happening in the state.

Lokesh gave YSR Congress supporters a chance to point out his mistake for no reason.

He already made a point on YSR Congress by bringing this investment, such provocative statements are totally unnecessary and do not befit his stature.
