The Ruling Parties of Tamil Nadu and West Bengal have bitten dust very badly. Both MK Stalin and Mamata Banarjee on their way back home. In Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin and his son, Udhayanidhi Stalin were trailing.
The scenario with respect to both the parties is same. Those ruling the states were completely blind with Power and lost touch with the Ground. People have started hating their arrogance and taught a lesson when it mattered.
Udhayanidhi Stalin was completely arrogant and was making statements like “Sanathana Dharma is like malaria, dengue, and corona. It should not just be opposed; it must be eradicated”.
Mamatha Banarjee fought for the common man against 40 years of Communists’ Rule. But her last five years, Mamatha’s regime is frequently criticized for her perceived arrogance, authoritarian style, and confrontational demeanor.
She turned a blind eye to Rohingya crisis which added to the poverty in the state. She took certain vote banks for granted, alienating others through confrontational politics, and over-reliance on personal appeal amid governance issues.
Both Stalin and Mamatha are lessons for anyone in Power.
Only those who, day in and day out constantly thinking about the elections and those who establish a connection with the people through their words and deeds, will not feel distressed or go into shock on the day of the election results.
We will have to see how many other Chief Ministers in the country will learn the lesson.
