Thalapathy Vijay did something remarkable in Tamil Nadu politics by leading his TVK to sensational outcome in the recent assembly election. This party emerged as the single largest outfit in Tamil Nadu by a fair margin.
But fundamentally speaking, Vijay might have been able to lead his TVK to be becoming the single largest party, but the road to becoming the chief minister of Tamil Nadu is not going to be a straight one.
Firstly, Vijay is having to deal with the complex situation that has been created by the governor. This is primarily due to the fact that the governor has asked Vijay to prove his strength of 118 MLA added to form the government, even before he takes charge as the CM.
The standard protocol is that the leader of the single largest party is invited to take the oath as the CM and he will have to prove his strength with support from the alliance later in Assembly. But in this case, the Tamil Nadu governor is adamant about this procedure and wants Vijay to prove it prior.
The fact that this is the first political campaign of Vijay makes it all the more tough for him to calculate the permutations and combinations to form the government. At the end of the day, these number games can be extremely challenging, given for senior politicians, let alone a first timer like Vijay.
On one side, it might be extremely tough and challenging for Vijay to deal with such situations in his first ever campaign. But on the bright side, it is good that he is facing such challenges which would only create a wiser and politically motivated facet for him.
