The other day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to the residences of AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan.
The leaders had elaborate talks and the Prime Minister also spent some quality time with the family members.
Political Expert, Professor K Nageshwar Rao had an objection to this as well.
“Why is AP CM in Hyderabad? Why is AP DCM residing in Hyderabad? What is another Minister doing in the Capital of other state? These things are creating doubts about their commitment especially when they are pitching for investments in Amaravati. They never invest in Amaravati. They should let go of these double standards. Why are they coming to Hyderabad in the weekends? Can’t they live in Amaravati?,” he questioned.
Firstly, talking about investments, Chandrababu Naidu indeed invested in Andhra Pradesh.
Heritage Foods acquired land in Kanteru village (Guntur district) in 2014 for a dairy factory expansion. This is about 20 km away from the core 29 villages of the original Amaravati capital area.
In 2019–2020, the then-ruling YSRCP alleged insider trading and land scams linked to TDP leaders and Heritage in the Amaravati region. Heritage denied this, clarified the land was for business use, and some sale deeds were cancelled by then Government.
Professor K Nageshwar Rao would have definitely known this but he will say they do not invest in Andhra Pradesh.
Pawan Kalyan, anyways, do not have any companies to invest.
Coming to the second part, what they are doing in Hyderabad?
The Prime Minister is in Hyderabad Tour and they were available in Hyderabad to meet the Prime Minister.
It Is not like the Prime Minister was in Andhra Pradesh and they were sitting in Hyderabad.
Chandrababu Naidu has permanent residences in Kuppam and Pawan Kalyan in Pithapuram.
It is all about commitment of the leaders. Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh, and Pawan Kalyan do not need a house or something to prove they are committed to Amaravati.
We have seen Jagan sitting in Amaravati between 2019 and 2024 and plot against the same region in the name of three capitals.
