Tamil Nadu politics are a strange bunch and they operate on their own terms. This is evident if you look at the case of opposition leader Udhayanidi Stalin, who has again commented that the collective aim is to eradicate Sanatan Dharma from Tamil Nadu.
His repetitive comments on this topic are being lambasted by the Hindu groups, and they are not right for communal harmony either. So there was this growing demand on the ruling TVK government led by Thalapathy Vijay to react on this topic.
After a delayed period, the TVK has finally responded officially to this matter through Aadhav Arjun who is a cabinet minister under Vijay. He had a very educated reaction on this matter.
Arjun commented that the TVK would be respecting all the religions. “we are conventionally not against Hindus. But we are firmly against Hindu imposition. In Tamil Nadu, the Cast equations are different and Sanatana Dharma is seen upon as societal hierarchy.”
This was followed by a sharp remark against Uday as the new cabinet minister commented that the Stalin youngster doesn’t have a clue about Sanatana Dharma eradication and he must clarify his stance to everyone.
On one hand, the TVK has categorically commented that they are not against the Hindu religion but at the same time, they’ve played the ball to Uday’s court as he must now explain what he means by eradication of Dharma.
