Ex-chief minister of AP, YS Jagan Reddy had a very aggressive presser today as he went all out of Chandrababu Naidu at a personal and politician capacity. He closed out the conference on a lighter note with a couple of questions from the media.
This was precisely when Jagan was asked about his influence in the recent remarkable victory of Thalapathy Vijay in Tamil Nadu politics. He was asked about the narrative carried by YSR Congress supporters and few leaders like Roja where they said Vijay carried Jagan’s photo in the campaign and that helped him.
Jagan had a very simple and strive forward reaction to this as he made a very educated remark. “If a man is able to create such an impact in his state, it is his own capability. What does Jagan have to do with it?” Jagan said in a very simple tone.
It is good to see Jagan close to reality as he understands that it is Vijay’s popularity which gave him power and not a photo campaign with YS Jagan. This can be considered as a tight slap to YCP supporters on social media, who had been extensively posting about Vijay using Jagan’s influence in Tamil Nadu.
Jagan’s party YCP itself is in a drastic position in AP while getting limited to just 11 seats so claiming credit for Vijay’s remarkable win in Tamil Nadu could’ve been laughable.
Jagan is aware of the situation and he was clear with his response and it’s now the turn of YCP troopers to comprehend what’s happened.
