Take Care! Modi’s Heatwave Message

India is currently facing one of the hottest summers in recent years. Temperatures are crossing 45 degrees Celsius in several states, especially in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and parts of North and South India. The severe heatwave is now becoming a major public concern, with hospitals reporting increasing heatstroke cases every day.

Amid the worsening situation, PM Narendra Modi posted a series of messages on social media asking people to stay alert and take precautions.

Modi urged citizens to stay hydrated, carry water while stepping outside and avoid going out during peak afternoon hours. His messages quickly went viral across social media platforms.

Interestingly, Modi also spoke about caring for birds and animals during the extreme heat. He requested people to keep small bowls of water outside their homes, balconies, shops and offices. Many social media users appreciated this humane appeal from the Prime Minister.

At the same time, political reactions also started surfacing online. While some praised Modi for spreading awareness, others questioned whether stronger government action was needed to tackle the heatwave situation. A few posts even compared India’s rising temperatures and AC taxes with countries like Dubai.

Meanwhile, several state governments are taking emergency measures. Relief camps, ORS packets, water tankers and cooling points are being arranged in many cities. Reports suggest Andhra Pradesh alone has seen hundreds of suspected heatstroke cases in recent days.

Weather experts say some relief may arrive after May 29 due to changing weather conditions. Until then, authorities are continuously advising people to remain indoors as much as possible and take heat related symptoms seriously.
