Lady Minister’s Stylish Video: New Approach or Troll Material?

Tamil Nadu witnessed one of the most historic electoral results with the election of Thalapathy Vijay as the new Chief Minister of the state. He recently formed his cabinet and included Telugu origin MLA Keerthana as the Industries Minister.

On that note, Keerthana shared a new video on her social media handles in which she is seen dressed stylishly while presenting herself as an Industries Minister looking to boost the sector in Tamil Nadu.

However, the end result is that Keerthana is being brutally trolled on social media for the influencer style presentation. Many people are commenting that the female minister appears to be treating real life governance like social media PR, and they feel the reel style video looks farcical.

There has been a mixed reaction to the video shared by the young female minister in Vijay’s cabinet, as many commented that it looks more like an Instagram reel than a genuine pitch to investors.

But the fundamental point that must be noted here is that conventional styles of politics are steadily changing with the rise of the Gen Z revolution. In fact, Vijay himself, as Chief Minister, is following this updated Gen Z formula. So it is natural for his ministers to adopt a similar path that helped bring them to power in the first place.

People have long been used to conventional political approaches and presentations, and this could simply be a new style of communication. At the end of the day, the key objective is to attract investors and build a strong industrial portfolio for the state. If this new kind of approach is working, then there may not be much reason to complain.

After all, it is a new cabinet in power, and they will need some time to settle in while developing their own style of governance, which was clearly supported by Tamil Nadu voters in the recent election.
