Can Jana Sena Survive in Telangana Without an Alliance?

Andhra Pradesh politics are primarily driven by only two parties system. For many decades, it was the constant political battle between the Telugu Desam and Congress. This later transpired into Telugu Desam versus YSR Congress.

But the scenario is opposite in the neighbouring state of Telangana as there is open ground for multiple political parties in this state.

We have active parties like the BRS, Congress, and BJP, which have significant vote share here. Particularly the BJP has been gaining significant share in the recent elections, and this is a positive sign for the saffron party.

If this three way clash isn’t exiting enough, we now have another new entity in the form of Kavita, who launched TRS. She is fully prepared to make this triangular battle in Telangana, a four way fight.

The political landscape is already heating in Telangana for the 2028 Assembly election, as multiple political parties are staking their claim. Now we have another new addition in the form of Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena.

Pawan Kalyan has confirmed that Janasena will run full-fledged operations in Telangana from now on, and he will make sure of it. He further confirmed that the BJP is already strong enough in Telangana and they do not need the support of Janasena.

With this latest speech from Pawan Kalyan, it is evident that he is looking to develop Janasena as an independent entity in Telangana. It is a fact that Janasena does not have the structural leadership in Telangana state but Kalyan abuse to be fully committed to making it happen.

But this brings us back to the question, whether there is enough political vaccum in Telangana for a five battle with Kavitha and Pawan Kalyan being the new entries. What is very clear is that the 2028 Telangana assembly election battle is going to be extremely interesting with so many big players involved.

On top of that, we have the Telugu Desam party, which is also looking to enhance its prominence here. If a strong cader- backed party like the TDP, also enters the scene, we will be witnessing elite grade political wars in Telangana shortly.
