Annamalai Starts, But Will Thalapathy Vijay Leave?

Tamil Nadu politics produced one of the most exciting results, in recent decades in the form of the nomination of Thalapathy Vijay as the new chief minister of the state. He was able to gain the trust of the Tamil votes and his very first campaign, which doesn’t happen usually.

Now there is a new political campaign that is starting in Tamil Nadu with a set of honest intentions, and yes, we are talking about Annamalai.

After leaving the BJP, which gave him a political platform, Annamalai has announced that he will be launching his own political movement in Tamil Nadu. But this is not a political party as yet, considering that Annamalai is labelling it as a public movement for the time being.

He has categorically confirmed that this party will be turning active in Tamil Nadu in the days to follow, and it will be contesting the 2031 Assembly election here. He has a big plan in mind for the same.

However, the crucial point of difference here is that the Vijay government is still very young, and he appears to be an honest chief minister who is fighting against corruption.

If Vijay can cement his position as the chief minister and eradicate corruption to whatever capacity he can, then there will be no adequate vacuum for another party by 2031.

We already have the triangular fight between DMK, AIDMK and Thalapathy Vijay so there isn’t much space for a new entry here. This is going to be an interesting proposition for Annamalai and we have to see how he would react and orchestrate his campaign henceforth.
