The previous YS Jagan administration in Andhra Pradesh was extensively focused on direct benefit transfer programmes which took a toll on the state finances. So the responsibility is on the veteran Chandrababu to resurrect the finances while also carrying forward the welfare programmes.
In accordance with the NDA government has completed two years of power in Andhra Pradesh and this period has been a balance of welfare and social infrastructure development.
One of the significant implementation of the government is the NTR Bharosa Pension program as a part of which over ₹65,000 crore was distributed to elderly till now. Along with this 4.26 crore cylinders were given to households as promised earlier.
One of the main outreach programmes is the resumption of the Anna canteen program, which is feeding lakhs of common folk each day. Mega DSC was implemented and more than 15,000 jobs were filled in teachers sector. Another 5700 constable jobs were also filled.
The free RTC travel program is being implemented very effectively for women and it has won over the female population already. There are multiple other successful implementation which have reached all pockets of the public.
Along with that, the arrival of IBM, Google, Infosys, and other mega companies are creating good job opportunities to the youth. Subsequently, Chandrababu is perhaps delivering one of his best terms of administration this term and this is a good thing overall.
But there are certain challenges like upholding the spirit of the alliance for the next three years and leading a collective battle in the 2029 assembly election. Also, Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan are confident about delivering 15 years of relentless administration and that’s a big dream nevertheless.
