‘Vijay’s TVK Is BJP’s Plan B’: What’s The Reality?

Tamil Nadu politics took an unexpected turn with Thalapathy Vijay, getting elected as the new chief minister of the state last month. He was so very successful in his first ever election campaign that his remarkable performance will be a case study for the days to follow as well.

However, a new line of political attack has been launched on Vijay by the opposition DMK as they are labelling him as the plan B for BJP in Tamil Nadu.

This originated recently after the Tamil Nadu assembly played the national anthem not once but twice in the governor’s address session today. This happens to be the first time in 25 years that Tamil Nadu Assembly played the national anthem.

Considering the strong nationalist that the BJP had been taking, it is now leading to the talk that the saffron party could be persuading TVK to bring nationalistic spirit in Tamil Nadu as well.

DMK has said TVK is heavily allying with the BJP mechanism, and the return of national anthem to the Assembly is indicating the same.

But this is rudimentary argument, considering that the national anthem is a statement of pride and needs to be followed by every single state. Using this topic as a political controversy should be regarded as bad work of DMK as not playing the national anthem in the first place should be regarded as a detrimental issue and not the other way around.
