Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan is possibly the most hated politician in India as of this moment, considering the protest is happening against him over the recent NEET examination failure.
There is a full blown process that is happening at the Jantar Mantar, demanding the immediate resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan as a token of moral responsibility for the recent NEET exam mishap.
However, the central government appears to be very reluctant to make it happen as there has been no news about the possible resignation of Dharmendra till now, despite all the protest that has been happening.
We have arrived at a point where the NDA government at the centre is ready to face the blame and the protest rather than orchestrate the resignation of this education minister.
There might be multiple factors involved, including the fact that Dharmendra is a crucial member for the BJP in Odisha, and he is also a stoic supporter of the RSS.
Considering the RSS roots, Dharmendra will have a long run with the BJP and that appears to be saving him even when all hell is breaking lose. Also, the central government might be of the opinion that they will likely be pressurised to more resignations in the future if they bow down now to the ongoing scenario. Another minister Nithin Gadkari is also facing a lot of public backlash and he could be next in line.
