What’s Happening With Bonda Uma?

The other day, TDP Senior Leader Bonda Uma had attended Mudragada Padmanabham’s Memorial Meeting organised in Guntur. His bonhomie with another YSRCP Senior Leader, Ambati Rambabu has become a Talking Point.

Speaking at the event, Bonda Uma said Kapus who form 25% of the population should get their fair share of Positions and Funds and the Government should listen to their anguish.

This is predominantly the line of YSR Congress Kapu leaders in recent times. And also, participating in the attempt to make Mudragada (despite him being hardcore anti-TDP in final days) raises suspicions.

Also TDP cadres could not digest the fact that Uma is hobnobbing with Ambati Rambabu who badmouthed Chandrababu Naidu.

There are rumors that Uma is upset about not getting a cabinet berth and is in talks with YSR Congress. He is okay to shift to the party with a promise of Vijayawada East Seat and a Cabinet Berth if YSR Congress wins.

Similar rumors surfaced in 2019 as well. Between 2019 and 2024, the then YSR Congress Government even troubled Uma with cases but things have changed now.

If Uma is fielded from Vijayawada East by YSR Congress, Devineni Avinash who is the incharge there will be moved to Mylavaram or some other seat.
