Speaking at the historic inauguration of the Bhogapuram International Airport terminal, AP Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan turned emotional, saying he was deeply hurt by the abuses directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi during NEET protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.
Pawan said he was moved to tears when he heard “derogatory remarks” being made against the Prime Minister.
“How can we treat a national leader and patriot who has dedicated his life to the nation this way? Does the younger generation know the hardships he has endured for the country? Any criticism against Modi feels like a criticism against us. There is no leader in this country who can defeat Modi, nor will there be one. I bow at the feet of Modi ji, who has shown the magnanimity to forgive even those who insulted him,” Pawan Kalyan said in an emotional speech.
Drawing an analogy, Pawan remarked that “only a fruit-bearing tree is pelted with stones,” suggesting that criticism often accompanies success. He further lauded Modi’s ability to forgive his detractors and noted that the Prime Minister has worked tirelessly without taking leave.
Pawan thanked PM Modi for fulfilling the long-pending aspirations of the people of Uttarandhra by sanctioning the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone and said the Bhogapuram International Airport would mark a new chapter in the region’s development.
“We are very lucky to have a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi leading the country,” Pawan said. He said infrastructure tops Modi’s vision for the country’s growth.
Deputy CM Pawan heaped praises on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, saying Andhra Pradesh is progressing rapidly under his leadership.
