AP Gets 4597 Cr, Telangana 2370 Cr from Centre

The Centre has released an additional tax devolution instalment of Rs 1,09,019 crore to all State Governments, giving them early financial boost to speed up capital investment and developmental works.

According to the Union Ministry of Finance, the amount was released today, August 1, 2026, and is in addition to the regular monthly tax devolution that is scheduled to be released on August 10, 2026.

The Centre said the advance release reflects its commitment to strengthening the finances of states, enabling them to speed up infrastructure development, welfare programmes, and other capital expenditure.

Among the Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh received Rs 4,597 crore, while Telangana was allocated Rs 2,370 crore as part of the tax devolution for August 2026.

Uttar Pradesh received the highest allocation at Rs 19,208 crore, followed by Bihar (Rs 10,845 crore), Madhya Pradesh (Rs 8,010 crore), West Bengal (Rs 7,866 crore) and Maharashtra (Rs 7,022 crore).

The Centre stated that the advance release of funds will help states meet their expenditure requirements more efficiently and ensure the timely execution of infrastructure and development projects across the country
