The former deputy chief minister of Tamil Nadu and the son of former chief minister, Udhaynidhi Stalin has been arrested by Tamil Nadu Police for making wild remarks on CM Vijay using actress Trisha topic.
It was expected that Udhay would be facing consequences for this while remarks on the chief minister. But interestingly, the Tamil Nadu government has moved quickly and has gotten him arrested today itself.
Reportedly, DMK’s top leader Udhayanidhi Stalin has been detained by Chennai Police from his residence following an FIR over his alleged defamatory remarks against actor Trisha and CM Vijay.
The fact that Uday has been arrested by Chennai Police within 24 hours of the earlier remarks against the CM and actress Trisha shows the intensity of the crackdown.
It was only yesterday afternoon that he made this wild and unnecessary remark on the CM and he is finding himself in the Police web this morning itself.
In the meanwhile, his legal team has approached the Madras High Court and the anticipatory bail petition is going to come to hearing this afternoon. It shall be seen how the legal proceedings will be handled in this matter, considering the sensitivity of the topic.
