There are many speculations about the Covid-19 vaccine. In India, the Serum Institute in Pune is developing the vaccine in collaboration with Bharat Biotech company. The vaccine development has almost reached the climax and it may roll out from February next year.
However, out of nowhere YSRCP’s mouth piece Vijayasai Reddy made a sensational tweet that the AP government will start distributing the Covid-19 vaccine in the state from Christmas i.e, December 25th. “As per AP CM YS Jagan directives, the vaccine will be distributed through 4762 medical centres from Christmas. AP is the only state to do one crore tests and succeeded in containing the virus,” tweeted Vijayasai and it was made on Wednesday morning at 7:32 AM.
But in no time, YCP’s Rajya Sabha MP deleted the tweet and it is nowhere to be seen. The reason behind is also not known. Before the vaccine rolls out, the companies developing it need to get approvals from the Centre and related agencies. So far no company has filed any request for approvals as the development is still in progress. But the experts are in belief that they can meet the deadline of February set by themselves.
Meanwhile the Centre is also in opinion to approve if anyone approaches them with a fully developed vaccine. PM Modi is in thoughts to roll out the vaccine from December 25th which marks the birth anniversary of late PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
