A political war is brewing in Ongole between Ongole MLA and TDP leader Damacharla Janardhan and former minister and Jana Sena leader Balineni Srinivasa Reddy.
Damacharla Janardhan, who defeated Balineni in the 2024 Assembly elections, hit back at the allegations made against him. Damacharla alleged that Balineni is now working for the YSRCP despite being in the Jana Sena. He accused Balineni of trying to create differences within the TDP-Janasena-BJP alliance.
“Balineni is working for the YSRCP while being in the Jana Sena. He is trying to create differences in the Kutami. He also got pamphlets distributed against me,” Damacharla said.
Damacharla further said he could remain silent on Balineni’s activities because he is now part of the alliance. “I am staying silent because Balineni is part of the alliance. But if he wants to indulge in rowdyism, that will not be accepted,” he warned.
Damacharla also challenged Balineni to prove his allegations that he had collected money illegally.“If I have collected money, he should prove it. There are not enough books to list all the allegations against Balineni,” Damacharla said.
Damacharla also made serious allegations against Balineni’s son, claiming that he had introduced youngsters to Ganja. The latest allegations have once again brought differences between the alliance leaders in Ongole into the spotlight.
It can be noted that Damacharla contested the 2024 general elections on a TDP ticket, and defeated Balineni by over 34,000 votes who had then contested from the YSRCP. Balineni later joined the Jana Sena Party in Pawan Kalyan’s presence. Now, the rift between sitting MLA Damacharla and Janasena leader Balineni is turning out to be a headache for the Kutami.
