Konda And Revanth Set Egos Aside For Party Unity!

Telangana Congress is historically famous for divisive politics where multiple senior leaders have multiple aspirations, regardless of the collective spirit of the Congress leadership. We have several leaders like Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, Konda Surekha and others in this category. 

For now, the discussion is about Konda Surekha, who had been creating a new headache for the Congress leadership with her extremely aggressive brand of politics.

First, her daughter Konda Sushmitha made sensational comments against CM Revanth Reddy. Konda Surekha then surprisingly stated that she was not responsible for what her daughter had said, which came as a surprise. Later, when allegations emerged that Surekha’s ministry had several irregularities and her former OSD was accused of financial misconduct, she was put to the test.

However, Surekha did not back down despite the warning from the disciplinary committee as she wrote back that she would never bow down to any pressures. It looked like Surekha could be facing suspension if she continues on this path.

But the good thing now is that Surekha has finally decided to come in terms with the Congress leadership and be in the good books of chief minister Revanth Reddy.

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan today, Konda Surekha arrived at the residence of Revanth Reddy and tied him Rakhi. This could be an indirect indication that she wants to be in the good books of CM Revanth Reddy, who is the only person who can put her out of this hot soup.

At one point, it looks like Surekha could be facing severe action from the disciplinary committee. But this meeting with Revanth Reddy will change the entire dynamic as she could be in for another chance to correct herself. 

On the other hand, many doubted whether Revanth Reddy would give an appointment to Surekha after her daughter made sensational and critical comments against him publicly. However, Revanth did not show any resentment and welcomed Surekha to his residence, where she tied a Rakhi to him.

A development like this is not entirely unusual in the Congress, where the central leadership often expects senior leaders to put their personal egos, differences and individual ambitions aside for the larger interests of the party.

Now, it will be interesting to see how Konda Surekha’s daughter Sushmita reacts to this latest development. Given the political equations within the family and the recent friction with the Congress leadership, her response could also become a talking point in the coming days.
