Why Is Botsa Silent On ‘Janasena’ Rumors?

Rumors are rife that YSR Congress Senior Leader Botsa Satyanarayana may quit the party and join the Janasena party. Vijayasai Reddy also mentioned it in his letter the other day.

In the 2024 elections, Botsa’s family was given five tickets.

Botsa contested from Cheepurupalli, his brother Appalanarasaiah contested from Gajapathinagaram, and his co-brother Baddukonda Appalanaidu got the Nelimarla ticket.

His wife Botsa Jhansi had contested for Visakhapatnam MP. Vizianagaram MP Candidate Bellana Chandrasekhar is also a relative of Botsa. But all of them were defeated in that election.

Fearing that Botsa will turn to some other party, Jagan made him an MLC and gave him the Leader of Opposition post in the Council. Botsa is spearheading YSR Congress’s attack in the Council where the party has the majority.

But then, for the past few days, there have been rumors that his daughter Anusha may contest for Vizianagaram Jilla Parishad Chairperson in the upcoming local elections with Janasena support.

If the LoP’s daughter contests on the Janasena ticket, there is no bigger shame for YSR Congress. There are rumors that entire Botsa’s family will shift en masse to Janasena.

YSR Congress is trying to put up a brave face saying that Botsa is looked after very well and he will not shift. But then, the silence of the Senior leader on this issue is terrifying them inside.

If that really happens, the morale of the YSR Congress will be crushed ahead of the local elections in the Uttarandhra region. However, it seems unlikely for a veteran leader like Botsa to make such a move, as several political analysts have dismissed these reports.
