One of the strongest leaders for the Telugu party for many decades now is Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu. He had been with the party right from the senior NTR era and is one of the stoic supporters of the party DNA.
Now that Ayyannapatrudu has completed more than 70 years, he appears to have decided it is time to hang up the boots.
His son Vijay was recently announced as a Rajya Sabha MP by the Telugu Desam party after years of relentless support and back end operations. He had been looking after a crucial social media wing of the party and has been successfully executing the strategies.
The collective efforts of the father and son duo of Ayyannapatrudu and Vijay were rewarded wisely by the TDP high command with adequate positions.
In this context, the senior leader has now communicated that he is beyond 70 years and does not have the energy to roam at this age. So he has decided to retire from politics after three years, once the NDA tenure comes to an end in 2029 and the election commence correspondingly.
This decision to retire appears to be a voluntary one as the senior leader said he had done enough service to the party and wishes to retire in peace. The fact that he will be retiring after holding the position of the speaker of the Assembly house would be fitting for his political career.
