New Delhi is currently hosting some of the world’s most powerful leaders for the 18th BRICS Summit under PM Narendra Modi’s Leadership, with the capital’s top luxury hotels turned into high security zones for the visiting dignitaries.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is staying at ITC Maurya, which has been among the most closely guarded hotels during the summit. His stay has also brought heavy security arrangements around the property.
Chinese President Xi Jinping is staying at Taj Palace in New Delhi. The hotel has been placed under tight security as the Chinese delegation arrived in the capital ahead of the summit.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is staying at The Oberoi New Delhi. The hotel is also hosting delegations from Brazil, Kazakhstan, Ethiopia and Indonesia during the summit.
The Leela Palace is another major hotel hosting BRICS related dignitaries, with the UAE leadership delegation staying there. The hotel has prepared special menus and personalised arrangements for the visiting guests.
The Taj Mahal Hotel and The LaLiT are also hosting several foreign delegations and senior officials. The Taj Mahal has guests from countries including Uruguay, the Philippines, Cuba, Belarus and Vietnam.
With leaders and delegations spread across several luxury properties, Delhi’s hotels have witnessed a massive surge in demand. More than 3,000 rooms have reportedly been booked across the capital, turning the BRICS Summit into a major event for India’s hospitality sector as well.
