Has Bin Laden Planned An Attack In India Before 09/11 ?

On the eve of the 25th anniversary of the deadly 9/11 terror attack on twin towers in USA, a chilling revelation has been made to the public after the declassification of the famous Central Intelligence Agency’s files.

As per these files, a top secret intelligence brief prepared for US President Bill Clinton on August 28, 1998, warned that bin Laden network was actively targeting multiple nations including India and Pakistan.

The intelligence report titled “Bin Ladin Terrorist Network Still a Threat” showed that the infamous kingpin of the terrorist group survived US missile strikes in Afghanistan and kept a massive network across 60 countries.

The CIA alerted Clinton that Laden wanted to hit targets in India, Egypt, Pakistan, Uganda, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen. However, it is not known whether Clinton alerted India or not.

Although the 1998 CIA file did not detail specific location targets inside India, it proved that US intelligence knew Al-Qaeda threats extended far beyond the Middle East long before 2001.

Three years after this warning, India suffered a deadly strike on December 13, 2001, when terrorists attacked the Indian Parliament complex in New Delhi.

Additional CIA files released in this 9/11 anniversary batch revealed that Laden was also following political developments in Kashmir and monitoring high profile trials closely.

India has experienced frequent terrorist attacks despite its strong counter measures. The secret CIA files once again highlighted how India was among the hit lists of Osama Bin Laden.
