Modi B’day Tomorrow: Light a Lamp!

PM Narendra Modi’s birthday is tomorrow, September 17, and the BJP is planning a month-long campaign to mark the occasion as well as his 25 years in public life. The celebrations will continue until October 17 with several service and public outreach programmes across the country.

One of the main programmes planned for his birthday is ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’. BJP president Nitin Nabin has appealed to people to light a lamp at their homes on September 17 between 6 pm and 7 pm and pray for Modi’s long life and good health.

The BJP will also organise blood donation camps across the country on the same day. The month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ will include several activities focusing on public service, youth participation and government welfare schemes.

The campaign also marks 25 years since Modi entered the top level of government, beginning with his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister in October 2001. The BJP has planned various programmes to highlight this journey.

As part of the celebrations, the party plans outreach programmes involving beneficiaries of welfare schemes, school activities and service initiatives. Overall, September 17 will mark the beginning of a month-long series of programmes across the country.
