Covid-19: India’s Total Cases Cross 1 crore

India has made a milestone in the total Covid-19 cases. With 25,152 new cases, the total tally has touched one crore. India is the second nation in the world to touch eight figure mark and is behind the USA. The total cases count is at 1,00,04,599 while the active cases are 3,08,751.

The first Covid-19 case was reported in the country on January 30th, 2020. It took 230 days to touch the 50 lakh cases mark and the next 50 lakh cases took just 94 days. But for the 130 crore populous country only 16,00,90,514 tests were done. Many states have hidden the numbers including Telangana.

The total numbers of recovered and deaths are 95,50,712 and 1,45,136 respectively. India’s fatality rate is 1.45 percent and stands at 19th spot in the global list.

The worldwide Covid-19 cases stand at 75.5 million while 1.67 million people have died and 42.6 million people have recovered.
