Presidents Falling Ill After BRICS In India? Fact Check Inside!

India was able to successfully host the latest BRICS Conclave in New Delhi last week. There were no reported security concerns or lapses in the itinerary of the event, which held global significance with the presence of global leaders like Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping and others.

However, shortly after the conclusion of the conclave, there have been multiple reports in global media about certain presidents falling ill after their visit to India.

There were unverified reports about Chinese President Xi Jinping falling ill after the BRICS Conclave in India. It was confirmed by the South African President’s Office that he had indeed taken ill.

This gave international media enough opportunity to publicise the reports in such a way that it appeared as though many global leaders had fallen ill after visiting India. This looks like a very malicious campaign to spread negative information against India.

And now, the Ministry of External Affairs of India has stepped in and clarified that these international media reports have no credibility.

It was affirmatively communicated by the Ministry of External Affairs that there is no truth in the social media posts claiming that global leaders have fallen ill after visiting India for the BRICS conference.

People associated with the Government of India are commenting that this is a desperate attempt by western media to spread a negative agenda against India and the BRICS conclave as a whole.
