The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet proposed a new social media policy that would provide significant financial resources to social media influencers for taking part in government PR activities.
Now we have a set of numbers regarding this policy that is going to be constituted very soon, and it could will provide livelihood to the social media influencer community.
Payments based on followers:
• 1 lakh+ – up to ₹15,000
• 50K–99,999 – ₹7,500
• 25K–49,999 – ₹5,000
• 10K–24,999 – ₹2,500
This is the kind of numbers that are being circulated now, and this provides a good opportunity for influencers to make a livelihood while cooperating with the government.
We are at a time when the governments are also transitioning from traditional print and digital PR activities to social media.
Andhra Pradesh is leading the charge by starting a new social media policy that could be mutually beneficial for the government to publicise their activities while also helping social media folk.
